Description
You'll be based in Cupertino managing a team distributed between Cupertino and Austin and working across the full set of functions that depend on this data. Our team builds the applications and custom AI agents that enable Apple to manufacture every product we ship, and to know and report how it was made β including strict compliance with Appleβs Supplier Code of Conduct, the materials used, and the environmental footprint. It's high-impact work at the core of Apple's operations. You'll partner closely with: - Product Design and Manufacturing Design β the teams whose decisions generate the data we capture - Supplier Readiness & Development and Environment program teams β the full range of ESCI programs, including, labor and human rights, health and safety, code compliance, smarter chemistry, clean energy, carbon removals, materials, and resources - Legal and Regulatory β evolving disclosure requirements and strict data governance - Reporting and Communications β the external narrative and the numbers behind it - Business Assurance and Internal Audit β evidentiary standards, controls, traceability, and third-party assurance readiness You'll be someone who anticipates problems without over-architecting solutions, who can distill complex challenges into clear, simple outcomes, and who is equally comfortable making a mature system quietly excellent and making the case to rebuild one that has reached its limits. Periodic international travel required (Shanghai, Europe) to connect with our in-region counterparts, supplier-facing teams, and the end users who depend on what we build.
Minimum Qualifications
Proven track record in change management 10+ years managing software engineering or product teams 5+ years leading a combined Product and Engineering organization with full cross-functional ownership across Product Management, Design, and Engineering Strong understanding of software development, APIs, and platform/infrastructure concepts Proven track record of defining and delivering a product vision across multiple applications, spanning both mature systems in active production use and platforms requiring significant modernization or replacement Ability to translate ambiguous business problems and evolving regulatory requirements into clear product solutions Experience partnering with senior stakeholders across functions β including legal, communications, and audit or assurance functions β and presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences Familiarity with auditing systems, assessment workflows, and reporting or assurance standards, and the data integrity and traceability requirements they impose Experience managing distributed teams across multiple locations Bachelors degree
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with supply chain, supplier responsibility, labor and human rights, or social impact data and systems Experience in manufacturing or environmental systems Experience with third-party audit, assurance, or certification processes Experience building or overseeing AI agent development Experience working with international teams or counterparts
