Job DetailsJob Location: Syracuse - Syracuse , NY 13205Position Type: Per DiemEducation Level: NoneSalary Range: $22.00 - $22.00 HourlySelf-Direction DSP - Syracuse Area (Job #ES-LA)   Indera (formerly ARISE/EFR) is looking for a Direct Support Professional to provide Respite in the West Hill area. She is a very happy, easy-going, active and kind-hearted teen with a moderate intellectual disability. Hours: Up to 10 hours a week after school and continue throughout the summer (As she attends Summer School) 3pm to 730ish pm. Days: Wednesday, Thursday, or Fridays. Being a back up for Mondays and Tuesdays would also be a huge plus but not required. Service can take place in both the home and in the community. She enjoys outings, to places like Onondaga park, restaurants, visiting the YMCA, swimming, playing with Slime and cutting paper. She also enjoys watching videos on her iPad or TV. The family is interested in trying new experiences with her and asks for a strong staff that will be willing to discover and try new places to explore with her. Experience is preferred, as well as being responsible and very hands on DSP. Must be able to always keep up with her and provide a little bathroom assistance. Location: Syracuse, near West Hill High school Pay rate: $22 per hour, with mileage and staff activity reimbursements Qualifications Must have a valid drivers license  Effective communication and organizational skills required. Flexibility with assignments and schedule required. Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time. Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred. Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
