School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) | Tacoma, WA | Full-Time | 2026–2027 School Year

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year in the Tacoma, Washington area. This is a full-time, onsite position supporting a secondary-school caseload and supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Job Highlights:

• Setting: Onsite only

• Caseload: Secondary students

• Additional Responsibility: Supervision of a COTA

• Start Date: ASAP

• End Date: June 23, 2027

Responsibilities:

• Provide school-based OT services, including assessments, treatment, and consultation

• Support a secondary-school caseload

• Conduct evaluations and prepare written reports

• Participate in IEP meetings and develop appropriate IEP goals

• Supervise and collaborate with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

• Provide guidance to support the consistent and effective delivery of services

• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams

• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and service records

Qualifications:

• Must hold an active Washington State Occupational Therapist license

• Must be fingerprinted and cleared through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI)

• Ability to supervise and collaborate with a COTA

• Previous school-based or secondary-level experience preferred
