HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Job Summary:

• Provides educational and therapeutic interventions (coinciding with other treatment modalities) constructive and beneficial to patients’ mental health.
• Manages materials.
• Oversees students.
• Demonstrates an understanding of diversity.
• Demonstrates integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence (I CARE values).
• Enhances and contributes to a safe environment for all colleagues, visitors, and patients.
• Performs miscellaneous duties not expressly described herein.

Reports:

• Manager/Expressive Therapies (job code (JC): 120301)

Supervises:

• None. Oversees music therapy interns and practicum students.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in music therapy (including coursework or an internship in a medical setting) from an American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) approved program

Preferred Education:

• Master’s degree in music therapy (including coursework or an internship in a medical setting) from an American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) approved program. 

Required Experience:

• None

Preferred Experience:

• One (1) year of professional experience in a medical setting.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Music Therapist--Board Certified (MT-BC) credential from the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT)
