Under general supervision, following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, delivers nursing care to patients. Plans and implements nursing care; documents nursing assessments; identifies and reports situations requiring further intervention; formulates and communicates goal-directed plan of care; assures patient rights. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital and principles of quality improvement.
- Base location is in Punta Gorda, Florida and will float to other base locations as needed.Â
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
- External Candidates: Minimum five years' experience as an RN in Critical Care and/or Emergency Department required.
- Florida Paramedic certificate preferred or completion within 1 year of hire required.
- AHA ACLS, PALS, BLS certifications required.
- NRP certification preferred or completion within 6 months of hire required.
- Advanced Certification such as CFRN, CCRN, CEN or other advanced certification as approved by the Aeromed Program Manager and Aeromed.
- Medical Director preferred or completion within 2 years of hire required in accordance with Aeromed Program CAMTS Accreditation Standards.
- Advanced Trauma certification such as ATLS audit or equivalent advanced trauma education preferred.
- Water egress course completion required within 1 year of hire. Department of Transportation air crew course curriculum content is a component of the Aeromed initial orientation process with successful completion of content required by the end of orientation.
