RumbergerKirk is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys through all phases of litigation. Responsibilities include case management, discovery, medical record review and summarization, deposition and trial preparation, and coordination with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment while working independently and as part of a team.


What you'll do


  • Manage and organize case files, including obtaining, reviewing, summarizing, and maintaining key case documents.
  • Support discovery efforts by drafting discovery requests and related pleadings, organizing document production, indexing records, and monitoring the collection and production of necessary records.
  • Prepare, issue, and track subpoenas and records requests.
  • Review, analyze, and summarize medical records; prepare medical chronologies and narrative summaries.
  • Assist with depositions and discovery investigations, including preparing deposition summaries, exhibit indexes, and coordinating with witnesses, experts, investigators, and other interested parties.
  • Assist with responding to expert discovery and ensuring timely service of expert disclosures and related materials.
  • Maintain case management databases and litigation support tools.
  • Coordinate and communicate with attorneys regarding case deadlines, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation needs.
  • Prepare litigation materials, including trial notebooks, exhibits, witness and exhibit disclosures, demonstrative aids, and PowerPoint presentations for mediations and trial.
  • Attend depositions, mediations, and trials; assist with witness coordination, exhibit management, and overall trial support.
  • Travel as needed to attend depositions, meet with witnesses, photograph evidence, and visit accident scenes or evidence locations.
  • Track billable time in accordance with client guidelines and firm procedures.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and team members to support case strategy, trial preparation, and successful case outcomes.
  • Assist with training, mentoring, and providing coverage and support to team members as needed.
  • Work overtime as necessary to meet client and case demands.


What We're Looking For


  • Associate degree in Paralegal Studies and paralegal certificate, bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of law firm experience, preferably in litigation.
  • Ability to produce accurate work product in a timely manner.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
