Description
Quality Specialist - Build the systems that keep our plants safe, compliant, and built to last
Seven Seas Water Group is looking for a Quality Specialist to build and run the quality and safety systems behind our water and wastewater operations. You'll work across engineering, construction, project management, and operations, standing up the processes and documentation that keep every plant audit-ready and every job site safe. This role is based out of our Tampa office.
Who we are
Seven Seas Water Group (SSWG) delivers more than 20 billion gallons of water a year to industrial, governmental, municipal, and hospitality customers across the U.S., Caribbean, and Latin America. Through our Water-as-a-Service® (WaaS®) model, we design, build, own, and operate more than 200 water and wastewater treatment plants, taking on the capital and operational risk so our customers don't have to. SSWG is a portfolio company of EQT, a global investment firm with more than three decades of experience building essential infrastructure.

Requirements
What you'll own
You'll champion a safety-first culture across our field, office, and project environments, working with EHS to investigate incidents and near-misses, run root cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions. You'll also build out the digital safety and process training content that helps the rest of the organization work safer, and put a real evidence preservation process in place so nothing gets lost in the hours after an incident.
On the quality side, you'll build and maintain our QA/QC systems and documentation to ISO 9001 standards, working in close partnership with our Maintenance and Reliability Leader on shared responsibilities across both roles. You'll run field inspections, process audits, and quality reviews, standardize the operating procedures and work instructions we use across business units, and stand up a centralized, asset-linked documentation system for maintenance procedures, manufacturer manuals, and engineering drawings. You'll also partner with Engineering on a standardized handover process from engineering to operations, so every asset has clear ownership and a documentation trail from day one.
Beyond quality systems, you'll own our organization-wide value stream map, using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to find waste and remove bottlenecks across sales, engineering, design, and construction. And you'll be the person turning quality and safety data into something leadership and our private equity ownership can actually use: clear KPIs, trend analysis, and reporting that gives the business a single source of truth.
What you bring
• A Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline; experience in construction, industrial, or multi-discipline engineering environments is strongly preferred
• A process mindset, with the ability to map, analyze, and improve workflows into structured, repeatable systems
• Comfort working in both office and active field or construction environments, including regular site visits and physical inspections
• A real personal commitment to working safely, and to holding others accountable to that same standard
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, Lean, or Six Sigma is a plus
•We're looking for someone positive and solutions-oriented, who brings a results-driven work ethic and helps build a culture where people feel comfortable raising concerns and improving how we work.
Why this role
You'll join our existing quality team with real room to shape how we run safety and quality across the business, with direct visibility to senior leadership and ownership through the reporting you'll create. If you want the kind of role where your systems and your judgment directly shape how safely and how well an infrastructure company runs, this is that seat.
