Richman Property Services, Inc. is currently seeking a community inspired, passion driven full-time Sr. Property Accountant to join our growing Team in Tampa!

The Sr. Property Accountant will work out of our Tampa Support Center in Tampa, FL in the Westshore business district.  The position is a hybrid work schedule where you will work from the Tampa office 3-days per week, and work remotely from your home 2-days per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00-5:00pm.    


SUMMARY: Responsible for the accounting and administration of the management company’s properties. The Property Accountant supports the Accounting Department in achieving all departmental goals 


RESPONSIBILITIES:  

•    Prepare month-end workpapers for management company’s properties throughout the U.S. 

•    Prepare month end journal entries as needed, accruals/prepaids

•    Review property management software reports to ensure proper recording of financial records 

•    Ensure timely payment of portfolio payments to vendors, real estate taxes, insurance, etc. 

•    Calculate and prepare periodic/scheduled distribution

•    Collaborate with the varying accounting & property management teams to provide accounting support for multiple properties

•    Prepare monthly financial and projection reports that are timely and accurate for senior management

•    Liaise with property management employees to accomplish company goals

•    Assist Controller with various ad-hoc projects

•    Continually develop knowledge and skills to further personal and firm growth

•    Proactively communicate with clients and colleagues to build trust and foster meaningful relationships


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:  


EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s Degree from accredited University with a concentration in Accounting  


EXPERIENCE:  5-8 years’ experience in Accounting, Property Management industry experience preferred.   CPA or CPA Candidate preferred but not necessary.  Experience using Yardi property management software is a plus. 


 SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS:  

•    Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook  

•    Timberline/Sage 300

•    Highly proficient in Excel

•    Detail Oriented, strong organizational and analytical/problem solving skills, and exemplary communication skills
