POSITION SUMMARY:
 The Health and Wellness Coordinator oversees the planning and implementation of gender-inclusive, culturally sensitive health and wellness programs, ensuring alignment with Student Learning Plans and organizational policies. The role includes diagnostic evaluations, progress reporting to schools, and administrative support for educational programs. Ideal candidates are health and wellness experts with strong communication skills, and a Bachelor's degree, Florida Teaching Certificate, and bilingual ability are preferred.

Program Oversight & Implementation

- Oversee the successful operations of services focused on health and wellness
- Plan and implement health and wellness programs, activities, and services that meet standards
- Develop programs that are gender-inclusive and sensitive to cultural diversity
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Â
- Monitor health and wellness sessions to ensure alignment with Student Learning Plans (SLPs)
- Ensure activities follow all policies and procedures
- Communicate and enforce organizational policies, procedures, and standards regarding program delivery, quality, and fidelity
Â
Administrative Support
Â
- Provide administrative and logistical support for educational programs
Â
 Student Assessment & Reporting
Â
- Perform diagnostic evaluations of participating youth
- Complete Student Learning Plans and communicate with schools regarding student performance

Additional Duties

- May be assigned other duties as requested by supervisor
Â
RELATIONSHIPS: Â
Internal:  Maintains close, daily contact with Club Staff (professional, part-time and volunteers), Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/instructions; instruct; and/or advise/counsel. 
External: Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members’ parents and others to assist in developing positive relationships and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred. 
- The State of Florida Teachers Certificate is preferred.
- Must be able to clear a level II background screening (https://info.flclearinghouse.com) and drug screening through one of our vendors.
- Subject matter expert in health and wellness.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to work collaboratively with partners and schools.
- Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. 
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality. 
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Knowledge of the mission, objectives, policies, programs and procedures of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay; and the principles and practices of non-profit organizations.
TRAVEL:

Travel may be required to multiple Club facilities throughout Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando and Pinellas counties for training and/or other business purposes.
