Qualifications
Requirements:
Â
- At least 2 years’ experience working with children and adolescents (psychiatric residential environment preferred).
- Master's Degree
- CPR, HWC and Verbal De-escalation certification
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Essential Job Duties:
Â
- Consistently supports, trains others in, and models an approach of trauma informed care and service excellence in all facets of the position, which includes all interactions with staff, patients, and visitors, as well as throughout all operations within the facility. 
- Provide one-to-one supervision to direct care staff to ensure professional growth and development. Provide direct care staff with support in identifying youth with the need for behavioral treatment plans.
- Provide one-on-one and group coaching sessions for staff to improve their understanding of their roles and responsibilities, and problem-solve personnel concerns with the management team. Must be comfortable holding Lead and MHT staff accountable and providing redirection, guidance, and coaching when necessary. Documents supervision, records of conversation, coaching, and/or progressive disciplinary action as necessary and appropriate.
- Assumes a leadership role during crisis interventions. Calmly and responsibly respond during crises and intervene to de-escalate using trained and approved methods and techniques of verbal and physical intervention to maintain safety in the environment. Ensures all restraints and seclusions are done appropriately according to training, policy, and FAC.
- Write and deliver staff performance evaluations, including 30, 60, 90-day and annual evaluations, staff coaching, and disciplinary actions.
