ENTEK is excited to welcome a Maintenance Technician to our team in Terre Haute, Indiana. This role is designed to support multiple skill levels, from developing technicians to experienced maintenance professionals. What You’ll DoAs a Maintenance Technician, you’ll support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of plant equipment. Depending on your experience level, you may assist with routine maintenance tasks or take a lead role in diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.


In this role, you will:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment across the plant 
  • Observe equipment in operation to identify issues and determine corrective actions 
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery and components 
  • Perform routine inspections and plant walk-throughs to monitor equipment condition 
  • Support equipment setup, changeovers, and preventive maintenance activities 
  • Adjust and test equipment to ensure proper performance 
  • Operate tools and equipment to fabricate or repair parts as needed 
  • Maintain accurate documentation, work orders, and material requisitions 
  • Support scheduled maintenance shutdowns and planned work activities 
  • Monitor spare parts usage and maintain organized equipment documentation 
  • Collaborate with operations and support teams to resolve equipment issues 
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment 
  • Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and lockout/tagout requirements 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools such as 5S and Kaizen

Requirements

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking mechanically inclined individuals with strong troubleshooting skills who are motivated to learn, grow, and contribute to a high-performing maintenance team.


Minimum Qualifications

  • One (1) or more years of maintenance or related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment 
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment troubleshooting 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and procedures 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills 

Preferred Qualifications (Advanced / Level 3 Candidates)

  • Associate’s degree or technical certification, or equivalent experience 
  • Three (3) or more years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment 
  • Experience with advanced troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems 
  • Knowledge of plant equipment startups, shutdowns, and failure recovery 
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability practices 
  • Electrical or mechanical certifications and training 
  • Ability to support the training and development of other maintenance personnel 


Your Work Schedule

  • This is a full-time, non-exempt position working 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule. Flexibility is required to support maintenance coverage and scheduled shutdowns.
