Responsibilities
- Sell products to customers; perform cashier functionsÂ
- Maintain compliance with the following: divisional signing, merchandising, recovery, fixtures usage and maintenance standards, divisional folding/hanging standards, stockroom standards, corporate policies, labor agreements (when applicable), freight receiving and freight stocking standards, and safety guidelines and standardsÂ
- Verify ads are in stock and perform ad auditsÂ
- Process and file mailÂ
- Maintain compliance with Replenishment Management System (RMS) proceduresÂ
- Participate in shrink control guidelines and Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) standardsÂ
- Maintain awareness of overstock/understock conditionsÂ
- Follow up on daily toursÂ
- Verify daily follow up of Time and AttendanceÂ
- Maintain awareness of daily salesÂ
- Identify and take appropriate action on all maintenance/repair needsÂ
- Respond to verbal customer comments/complaints/requestsÂ
- Complete customer incident and associate incident/accident report forms, when necessaryÂ
- Process salvage and donationsÂ
- Complete call backs/verify creditsÂ
- Access on-line sales informationÂ
- Process Intersection TransfersÂ
- Promote and follow Company initiativesÂ
- All store management work with associates to manage all common associate areas (i.e. break rooms and training areas) to make sure they are inviting in appearance and reflect "Our People Are Great"Â

Qualifications
Minimum
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus a minimum of six months Fred Meyer experience and one-two years related retail experience; or combination of relevant education and experience.Â
- Minimum 18 years of age/19 years of age in AlaskaÂ
- Ability to pass drug testÂ
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Ability to work weekends/nights on a regular basisÂ
- Ability to travel independently on a rare basisÂ
- Maintain confidentialityÂ
- Accuracy/attention to detailÂ
- Familiarity with industry/technical terms/processesÂ
- Ability to work within set time frames and fixed deadlinesÂ
- Ability to continue educationÂ
- Valid driver's licenseÂ
Desired
- Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structureÂ
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, Report Management and Distribution System (RMDS), and current Company emailÂ
- Experience directing/participating on project teamsÂ
- Working knowledge of alarms, sprinklers, and printersÂ
