DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION• Determine vehicle condition by conducting thorough inspections and diagnostic tests.
 •Identify worn and damaged parts. 
 • Keep equipment available for use by completing scheduled preventive maintenance, installing component and part upgrades, controlling corrosion, and performing required winterization procedures.
 •Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, and/or systems.
 •Perform machine shop operations and make adjustments and alignments, including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
 • Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems as needed.
 •Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
 • Contain costs by utilizing warranties and evaluating service and parts options.
 •Communicate directly and professionally with operators about how the equipment is running to identify the issue and learn about potential equipment problems.
 •Communicate effectively and professionally with the Planning and Scheduling Departments to ensure all required maintenance and repairs are completed as needed.
 •Submit work requests, order required parts and supplies, and close work orders to include actions taken, all parts used, and man-hours consumed.
 •Comply with and participate in corporate-wide safety programs, including but not limited to PPE and lock-out requirements.

 • Ability to climb stairs or ladders.
 • Ability to work from elevated positions using required safety gear and procedures.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS• Two year Technical Degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related field.
 • Experience may substitute for degree.
 • High School Diploma or GED required.
