New Pig Corporation – Traffic Associate – Tipton – Onsite – Daylight  

Traffic Associate is part of the team that executes processes to ensure the logistical functions of the organization operates in an efficient manner to exceed customers’ expectations.  The position handles shipment dispatch and tracking, maintaining information in databases and coordinating with our partner carriers, problem solving related to transportation, and invoice auditing. Additionally, the team will assist with rating requests for inbound shipments and execute communication with vendors.

  

Traffic Associate Specific Responsibilities 

 

  • Quoting both international and domestic shipments
  • Routing shipments using customer’s instructions
  • Scheduling, booking, and monitoring international container shipments
  • Troubleshooting any shipment issues
  • Producing appropriate documentation (BOL, POD, international documents)
  • Gaining understanding of customer specific requirements
  • Assisting internal customers to provide information and problem solving
  • Auditing, approving freight invoices and disputing discrepancies
  • Developing into an in-house expert on logistic software – TMS and other databases as developed 
  • Investigating and filling claims for overages, shortages or damaged shipments
  • Executing transportation activities on returned product and inbound shipments
  • Assisting with special projects to ensure efficient and timely delivery of product as needed

 

Secondary Responsibilities  

  • Special projects such as increasing efficiency through continuous improvement processes, documenting processes and procedures, tracking and reporting KPI’s, conducting system testing and assisting the Fulfillment team as needed 
  • All other projects and duties as assigned or directed
  • Adhere to New Pig’s Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards 

 

Qualifications 

  • HS diploma or equivalent. Degree in business management, supply chain or equivalent a plus.
  • Computer proficiency and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and logistics programs 
  • Must be familiar with transportation, logistics and supply chain processes 
  • Must be comfortable collaborating with other teams at different organizational levels
