About the Role
The Customer Associate serves as the first point of contact for our customers, providing solutions that support both customer needs and the best interests of Original Composites and Fiberglass. This role collaborates closely with external customers and internal partners to strengthen relationships and position Original Composites and Fiberglass as the supplier of choice. The Customer Associate is a team-oriented professional who is adaptable, committed to continuous learning, and actively seeks to understand market trends and customer behaviors. This position is part of Customer Operations within the Supply Chain organization.

Key Responsibilities
1. Service our Customers
  • Deliver consistent service to our customers through interactions
  • Take proactive actions to meet customer needs and concerns creating win/win solutions
  • Operate in the Oreder-to-Cash environment including order activity and logistics
  • Develop close relationships with our customers and understand what it takes to ensure their success
  • Develop customer trust by consistently following through on actions and operating with integrity
  • Leverage relationships to obtain outside-in market insights
  • Leverage product training opportunities
2. Operate in a Waste Free Environment
  • Effectively use Lean Sigma methodology and tools (standard work) to support a waste free environment
  • Identify and take action to eliminate non-value-added activities within day-to-day operations
  • Identify opportunities for, develop, maintain and execute Standard Work
  • Understand and promote the use of customer tools and technology
  • Engage and support TPM Office Pillar leading to increase efficiencies and waste elimination
3.  Live the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities
  • Implement a personal safety action plan and review with leader
  • Always adhere to the OCF safety policies
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
  • High school degree, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • SAP CRM and TM experience desired
  • Previous experience in an ever-changing, fast-paced customer service environment
  • Previous experience creating solutions in the best interest of the company and the customer
  • Work with AI tools (CoPilot, SAP Joule)
Skills & Abilities
  • Fluency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of building materials industry preferred
  • Supply Chain knowledge
  • Strong oral & written communication and listening skills
  • Supportive and adaptive to a change management initiative
