The Cleaning Operations Supervisor is a hands-on leader responsible for overseeing daily cleaning and housekeeping operations while leading a strong, productive team. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, is action-oriented, and enjoys problem-solving while maintaining safe, clean, and welcoming facilities. The successful candidate will manage staff, coordinate with departments, ensure cleaning standards are consistently met, and maintain flexibility to provide hands-on support and shift coverage based on operational needs.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provides day-to-day oversight of the environmental service operations. 
  • Provide leadership, guidance, counseling, and continuing education to staff. Works, develops, coaches, mentors, motivates, and assesses performance of staff. Works with staff to promote resolution of conflict and counsels’ staff when standards are not met. 
  • Create schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels to remain compliant within Company Budget. 
  • Identifies problems and potential solutions to ensure department efficiency. 
  • Responsible for tracking department inventory, ordering, and maintaining adequate department supplies. 
  • Oversee the department’s safety and quality standards for staff to include regulatory compliance. Report or correct any hazardous conditions observed immediately. MSDS and OSHA compliance. 
  • Ensure all items are in proper working order (vacuums, laundry, equipment, carts, etc.) 
  • Accountable for efficiency, productivity, quality, and financial performance. 
  • Assist in the hiring process, discipline, and termination process. Final decisions in all these areas will be made by a chain of command and direct supervisor.  
  • Ensure employee timecards and PTO requests are. 
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 
  • Trains and assists staff in training processes which include orientation, ongoing training, evaluations, and Relias training. 
  • Provides organization and attention to detail and maintains a clean and safe environment. 
  • Must be able to perform major life activities: standing, lifting, bending, learning, concentrating, thinking, and communicating. Must be able to push, pull, and carry/ and or lift 50 pounds. 
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, bend, stretch, reach, crawl, and kneel. 
  • Must display professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness. 
  • Ability to understand and follow oral instructions and written instructions. 
  • Be able to multitask, remain service centric 
  • Establish, communicate, and maintain effective working relationships with team members and other departments. 
  • Must be able to learn/use computer systems necessary to perform Company tasks. 
  • Privacy and confidentiality are the utmost concern. 
  • Coordinate with the maintenance department to ensure requests are initiated on a timely basis. 
  • Maintain a crisp, clean, and professional appearance daily adhering to dress code standards. 
  • Support a diverse and inclusive workforce. 

Preferred skills and qualifications:

  • Must be 21yrs old
  • Must have a current/valid Driver’s License.
  • You must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Minimum 1year supervisor or manager experience.
  • Understanding of MSDS and OSHA standards.
  • Experience with commercial washer and dryers.
  • Experience maintaining multiple properties and units.
  • Proficient with computers and programs (Microsoft, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Able to manage department budgets and ordering supplies.

Schedule: Full-time M-F 40 hours per week. 

Physical Requirements   

To comply with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 the essential physical, mental, and environmental requirements. Candidates must be able to successfully perform all functions of their job with minimal supervision.   

 

This position is subject to Native American/Alaskan Native preference.
