Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning, developing, and overall coordination of activities that support the Prospective Payment System (PPS) process for the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit.
  • Assures compliance with all State and Federal requirements related to and oversees the accuracy and timely completion/transmission of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility-Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI).
  • Coordinates staff education and training related to scoring and documenting observations of Care Tool. Reports to Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation Services.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in healthcare discipline.
  • 2+ years of clinical experience.
  • Current license in healthcare discipline: RN, PT/PTA, OT/OTA, SLP, SW.
  • Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and familiarity with web based software applications.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of clinical experience on inpatient medical setting
  • Previous IP Rehabilitation Services experience
  • Experience with computer applications including Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Medicare Prospective Payment System
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 coding, CMG classification, and IRF-PAI
