About the Role:

The Assembler I plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by accurately and efficiently assembling components into finished products according to detailed specifications. This entry-level position requires a strong attention to detail to ensure that all parts are correctly fitted and meet quality standards. The assembler will work closely with team members and supervisors to maintain a smooth production flow and meet daily output targets. Safety and adherence to company protocols are paramount to prevent accidents and maintain a productive work environment. Ultimately, the Assembler I contributes to the overall success of the manufacturing operation by producing reliable, high-quality products that satisfy customer requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints or assembly instructions.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • IPC-A-610 or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or the ability to obtain and maintain such certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.
  • Basic knowledge of safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills to report issues and collaborate with supervisors.

Responsibilities:

  • Electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies
  • Set-up and calibration of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies
  • Manufacturing equipment operation
  • Labeling
  • Loading racks with parts for the Surface Mount technology machine, and returning parts back to stock
  • Prepping or hand placing components
  • May assist with rework on assemblies as a result of testing
  • Assists in resolving routine manufacturing related problems affecting daily operations.
  • Performs simple, routine work within area of specialization.
  • Selects appropriate processes from clearly documented travelers, rules, practices, or instruction.
  • Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from Supervisor.
  • Responsible for following established safety rules & 6S.
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
