Job Summary
Brooker Memorial Early Learning and Child Care is seeking an experienced, responsible, nurturing Early Childhood Float Teacher to join our program.

We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a team environment and is passionate about working with children. This position would work as a Float staff member, covering various classrooms and age groups as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for children ages 6 weeks – 9 years old.
- Participate in the physical care and activities of children, ensuring developmental milestones are supported.
- Work collaboratively with team members to implement age-appropriate educational activities.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and health/safety standards.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a licensed child care center is preferred.
- Some coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Candidates with a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential will be considered.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, and sitting on the floor.
- Must possess the agility to move promptly from a seated to a standing position to respond to emergencies.
- Capable of participating in activities such as dancing, walking, diapering, and cleaning, both indoors and outdoors, in all four seasons.
- Must have acceptable hearing and visual capabilities to adequately supervise children by sight and sound.
