What You'll Do

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will:

• Administer medications and prescribed treatments in accordance with physician orders and agency policies.
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene, and meal assistance.
• Support mobility needs through lifting, transferring, repositioning, and ambulation assistance.
• Implement approved behavioral support strategies and crisis intervention techniques when needed.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, community activities, recreational outings, and social events.
• Support the implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and individualized care plans.
• Monitor health, safety, and environmental concerns and promptly report issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for individuals served.
• Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the Registered Nurse (RN), Program Director, families, and interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care and services.

Qualifications

Required

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Safe driving record and ability to transport individuals when required.
• Ability to complete all required training, certifications, and employment screenings.

Preferred

• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or related populations.
• Experience providing personal care and medication administration.
• Knowledge of Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and person-centered services.
• CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification within required timeframes.

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on program needs
• Community-based and residential assignments
• Additional hours and flexibility may be required to meet individual support needs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, transfer, push, pull, and support individuals weighing 50 pounds or more, with or without assistance.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, stoop, and climb stairs regularly.
• Ability to transport individuals safely in a motor vehicle.
• Ability to participate in CPI interventions and physical support activities as trained.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
