Great Lakes Stainless is looking for a dependable, hands-on team member to assemble, fabricate, finish, and perform basic welding on custom metal cabinets.

What You'll Do

• Assemble and fabricate metal cabinet components using blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Prepare materials by deburring, cutting, removing protective coverings, and staging parts.
• Install doors, glass, shelving, drawers, hinges, locks, and other hardware.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment.
• Perform basic and light TIG welding, weld grinding, and finishing.
• Inspect products for quality and make adjustments, repairs, or rework as needed.
• Complete job travelers and production records accurately.
• Clean, detail, package, and palletize finished products for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work with supervisors and team members to meet quality and production goals.

What We're Looking For

• Dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions and read basic blueprints.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Mechanically inclined and willing to learn new skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous manufacturing, fabrication, or welding experience is a plus, but not required—we will train the right person.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

This is an active manufacturing position requiring standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and working in tight areas around machinery and fabricated products.

Ability to work in a noisy manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, lighting, and ventilation and lift/maneuver materials weighing approximately 50–90 pounds is required.
