Powertrain Calibration Methodology Engineer isresponsible for developing, testing, and validating propulsion systemcalibration processes which achieve world-class range, fuel economy, anddrivability meeting current and future emission standards. The engineer willdevelop new calibration processes for both virtual and physical testingresources using techniques such as MIL, HIL & Propulsion System Benches.This role will include cross functional interaction with different CoE teamsand support engineers. Process development will occur with new powertraintechnologies such as ICE, BEV xHEV for both future and carry over applications.The engineer will develop disruptive technology processes that optimize theefficiency, quality, and product delivery for the calibration functions.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Understanding of Dyno, Propulsion system benches operations and data analysis
• Support construction of virtual models to simulate system performance
• Provide expertise to correlate vehicle, dyno, and virtual datasets
• Work with the CoE teams to ensure best practices are developed and followed
• Provide guidance for calibrators to assure system performance objectives
• Work closely with Virtual and HIL teams to ensure and define featurefunctionality
• Need to understand the Hybrid and electrified powertrain controls algorithmdeveloped in MATLAB/SIMULINK platform
• Work with the data acquisition and analysis tools such as dSPACE Automation,Controldesk, ETAS-INCA, MDA

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Master’s Preferred.
• 1+ Years of Dyno lab experience with calibration of ICE, XHEV powertrain
• 1+ Years of experience developing Calibration testing and verificationmethodology
• 1+ Years of experience in automotive controls/SW verification using MIL, SIL,HIL platforms
• 1+ Years of experience in validation support of dSPACE or NI HIL simulators
• 1+ Years of experience in dSPACE control and automation desk software.
