Environmental Services Associate (St Luke's Home, Tucson)

What You'll Do

As an Environmental Services Associate, you'll play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming community by:

• Keeping resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining rooms, activity rooms, shower rooms, offices, workstations, and common areas clean and comfortable
• Vacuuming and cleaning carpeted areas throughout the community
• Dusting and cleaning furniture, equipment, walls, ceilings, woodwork, doors, windows, and windowsills
• Disinfecting and sterilizing equipment and supplies while following infection-control practices
• Emptying wastebaskets and transporting trash and waste to designated disposal areas
• Keeping housekeeping carts, utility rooms, and storage areas clean, organized, and well stocked
• Maintaining housekeeping inventory and helping coordinate the housekeeping schedule for rooms and common areas
• Helping ensure resident rooms are secure by checking doors, windows, lights, and air conditioning when appropriate
• Following all safety requirements for the use, storage, and disposal of cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials
• Following St. Luke's Home, OSHA, state, and federal safety and infection-control standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Working independently while collaborating with coworkers to keep our community running smoothly
• Creating a clean and welcoming environment that supports the comfort, dignity, and quality of life of our residents

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card

Preferred Experience

• Previous housekeeping, environmental services, or similar experience preferred; experience working in a senior living or healthcare setting is a plus.
