Job DetailsJob Location: Arizona Rehab Campus - Tucson - Tucson, AZ 85715 The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (preferred) or Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive medical and psychiatric care to patients receiving inpatient detoxification and residential substance abuse treatment. This provider will conduct daily medical rounds in the detox unit, oversee ongoing care for residential patients, evaluate and manage co-occurring psychiatric conditions, and collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and case managers to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Our providers play a vital role in ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care throughout their treatment stay. This position requires excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing complex medical and psychiatric conditions commonly associated with substance use disorders while maintaining accurate documentation and promoting continuity of care    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  Conduct daily medical rounds for patients admitted to the detoxification unit.  Evaluate, diagnose, and manage psychiatric and medical conditions for residential patients.  Assess patients for withdrawal symptoms, stabilization needs, and co-occurring mental health disorders.  Prescribe and manage medications, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), when clinically appropriate.  Develop, review, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team.  Respond to changes in patient condition and provide timely clinical interventions.  Complete thorough and accurate documentation in the electronic health record.  Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and case management.  Educate patients regarding medications, treatment recommendations, and recovery goals.  Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility policies, including Arizona licensing standards.  Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and be available to respond to overnight calls from nursing staff regarding patient care concerns, medication orders, changes in patient condition, admissions, and other urgent clinical issues. Provide timely clinical guidance and treatment recommendations to ensure safe, continuous patient care.  Qualifications Current Arizona Nurse Practitioner license in good standing.  DEA registration with prescribing authority.  Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.  Experience treating patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.  High School Diploma or Equivalent required  Minimum two (2) years of experience in related field preferred  CPR/FA Certification – to be obtained within first 30 days  Fingerprint Clearance Card – have current card or show proof of applying within 7 days from hire date  Handle with Care – to be obtained within first 30 days  Successful clearance of pre-employment criminal/county/state background check  Successful clearance of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing  Successful clearance of TB PPD testing upon hire and annual screening of TB symptoms  Attending clinical oversight with BHP once every 2 weeks worked for a minimum of 2 sessions per month.  Preferred Qualifications  Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).  Experience in inpatient behavioral health, detoxification, addiction medicine, or residential treatment.  Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) protocols.  Experience using electronic health record systems.    Additional Notes:  America’s Rehab Campus’s is an Equal Opportunity Employer, a drug free workplace, and complies with Veteran and ADA regulations as applicable.
