Position SummaryÂ
Provides environmental cleaning services. Responsible to maintain the facility in a sanitary, neat, attractive and safe condition at all times. Responsible to handle multiple needs and priorities as they arise while still maintaining the highest level of customer service.Â
Responsibilities
- Sanitizes all surfaces of the facility using a germicidal cleaner, according to manufacturer specifications. Collects infectious and non-infectious waste in all areas in appropriate containers.Â
- Performs discharge cleaning/detail cleaning of all areas. Performs dust mop and mopping all tile floors.Â
- Cleans bathrooms.Â
- Stocks supplies in areas, carts, and supply room.Â
- Performs high dusting of ceiling vents and ledges over shoulder height.Â
- Dusts horizontal ledges and surfaces below shoulder height.Â
- Vacuums all carpeting and carpet edge, picks up trash and delivers linen/laundry.Â
- Cleans spots off of walls and doors and/or reports maintenance issues timely.Â
- Maintains accurate records including discharges, linen weight, isolation weight, pager sign-out sheets, cart sign-out sheets and Kronos corrections.Â
- Maintains cart and chemical supplies in a safe, secured manner around patients and visitors.Â
- Performs terminal cleans as necessary.Â
- Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned.Â
Qualifications
- Special Skills:Â Â
- Ability to read, to follow oral and/or written instructions in English. Â
- Ability to prioritize work. Must have good customer service skills.Â
- Minimum RequirementsÂ
- Education: Ability to read, to follow oral and/or written instructions in English.Â
- Preferred Requirements:Â
- Education: High school or equivalent.Â
- Experience: Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment preferred.Â
