What You’ll Do Create a Clean, Comfortable Guest Experience Clean and refresh guest rooms to brand and WHM standards, including bathrooms, beds, floors, and amenities. Restock linens, towels, and supplies so rooms are fully prepared for the next guest. Ensure each room looks neat, welcoming, and ready for a great guest experience. Support a Smooth, Positive Housekeeping Operation Maintain cleanliness in hallways and housekeeping work areas. Communicate any room issues or maintenance needs so they can be resolved quickly. Follow safety guidelines and cleaning procedures to protect guests and team members. Provide Friendly Guest Interaction Greet guests kindly if you encounter them while working. Assist with simple requests (like extra towels) in a warm, helpful manner. Stay Organized & Efficient Manage your room list throughout the day and move smoothly from one task to the next. Keep your cart stocked, tidy, and ready to go. No matter what room you clean, your goal is simple: Make sure every guest feels welcome, comfortable, and cared for the moment they walk through the door. The starting rate for the Room Attendant position is $13.50 per hour, and the first-year certification progression now provides an earnings pathway to $15.04 per hour through successful completion of required assessments and certifications. New Room Attendant Pay Structure Milestone Requirement Rate Hire Starting Rate $13.50 90 Days Guest Service Gold – Golden Opportunities $13.77 6 Months Certified Guestroom Attendant (CGA) $14.46 9 Months Guest Service Gold – Making Connections $14.75 12 Months Guest Service Gold – Tourism Online Program $15.04 Additional Certification Eligibility Requirements Before a team member becomes eligible for certification-based increases: Successful completion of the 30-Day Meet the Bar Assessment (Right Person) Successful completion of the 60-Day GWC Assessment (Get It, Want It, Capacity to Do It / Right Seat) Certification eligibility will be paused until any deficiencies identified through these assessments are successfully addressed.QualificationsQualifications – Room Attendant A warm, positive attitude and a genuine desire to help create a great guest experience. Housekeeping or cleaning experience is helpful, but not required — we will train the right person. Reliable and dependable, with consistent attendance and reliable transportation. Strong attention to detail, ensuring rooms are thoroughly cleaned and items are perfectly in place. Ability to work independently, manage your room list, and stay motivated throughout the shift. Physically able to perform housekeeping tasks, including bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, standing for long periods, pushing carts, and reaching. Willingness to follow cleaning procedures, brand standards, and safety guidelines. Good communication skills, and a team mindset when working with supervisors and coworkers. Comfortable interacting with guests in a friendly and respectful manner when needed. Professional appearance and demeanor that reflects WHM’s values and hospitality standards.
