Get to Know Your Team: 

  • UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system, serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our Midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program, and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities

  • Completes Preventative Maintenance work orders as assigned to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Completes Work Orders as assigned in a timely manner.
  • Completes Rounds & Readings as assigned according to department policy.
  • Participates in department maintenance projects and activities outside of normal job duties.
  • Assigned mechanical spaces and areas are kept clean, orderly and in good repair.
  • Monitors HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure, codes, regulations, and hospital standards are being met.

Qualifications

Job Requirements: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the HVAC field with knowledge of all trades related to building maintenance preferred
  • Refrigerant Recovery License - Universal required (can obtain within one (1) year of hire date)

Preferred Experience: 

  • Plumbing/Electrical or HVAC license preferred
