Get to Know Your Team: 

  • UT Health East Texas is comprised of 10 hospitals, more than 90 clinics, nearly 7,500 employees and over 1,000 licensed inpatient beds. We provide healthcare services through our hospitals, clinics, Level 1 trauma facility, air emergency fleet and EMS service.

Responsibilities

  • Makes and schedules appointment for procedures and surgeries for patients in an efficient and
  • timely manner.
  • Verifies and pre-certifies insurance coverage for surgical procedures. Coordinates
  • day surgeries within main surgery department.
  • Maintain productivity logs for department director.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Computer experience (Excel/Word).

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Two to Three years of work experience in a medical office.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical scheduling.
