Get to Know Your Team:  

  • UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program, and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the care and service of the patients, promoting quality care, effective utilization of resources, and assuming a leadership role with the interdisciplinary team to achieve desired goals and resource outcomes.
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of services and working collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Providing therapeutic counseling for patients, families/significant others, as well as members of the interdisciplinary team to enhance coping and functional skills.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work.
  • Licensed by the State of Texas, or obtain licensure within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Job Requirements

  • 1-3 years of acute care experience.
