Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook authentic Mexican dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
- Follow food safety and handling guidelines to ensure quality and freshness
- Assist with food prep including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service during peak hours
- Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs to kitchen management
- Adapt quickly to high-volume orders while maintaining food quality and consistency
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cook, line cook, or prep cook preferred
- Knowledge of Mexican cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Food Handler's Card or ServSafe certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering consistent quality
- Lift 50+ lbsÂ
