Job Description

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research and Development Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

The mission of the Research Quality (RQ) team within our Company's Research Laboratories Quality Assurance (Q)A is to provide proactive quality consulting and oversight, conduct audits and assessments, and monitor issues that arise in the nonclinical and clinical research space.  RQ’s Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Team provides audit oversight of nonclinical safety assessment studies as well as of laboratory analysis of clinical trial biological specimens. Our function also includes evaluation and ongoing oversight of nonclinical laboratory suppliers and leading quality improvement initiatives. 

The GLP Quality intern will have the opportunity to participate in advancing the GLP team’s initiatives and projects and develop a greater understanding of the role of quality assurance supporting the advancement of nonclinical drug safety and clinical laboratory research. The intern will support the enhancement of tools and processes used in the GLP Quality program.  

Initiatives include:

  • Advance the use of data analytics and artificial intelligence tools to support oversight and quality improvement of our RL stakeholders

  • Lead or assist with the preparation or review of foundational Procedures, Policies, or Execution Resources

  • Support the RQ team by assisting with important project-specific tasks to help advance our operating model and enable new technology implementation with the goal of increasing our efficiency, agility, and flexibility to ensure success in the dynamic development environment

  • These tasks may include but are not limited to project management, communication development, collaboration tool development, document management, documentation review, technical editing, meeting coordination and facilitation

This position will be located at our West Point, PA site.

Education:

  • Candidates should currently be enrolled in a minimum of a BS/BA in: Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Toxicology, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Chemical/Bio Engineering, Veterinary medicine or related discipline

Preferred:

  • G.P.A of 3.0 or higher

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies

  • Background, coursework or basic skills in a laboratory environment, including biological sciences, biochemistry and/or analytical chemistry

  • Computer skills with experience in data analytics and/or artificial intelligence tools would be especially helpful


Required:

Must be available for a period of 10-12 weeks, beginning June 2027

Salary range:
The salary range for this role is $39,108 through $111,111.
