Looking for a Full time maintenance job in Frederick, MD that offers variety and meaningful work?

We are hiring a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Assistant / Driver to join our senior living community in Frederick, Maryland.

This is a unique Full-time position combining maintenance and driving responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Maintenance Assistant

Working alongside our Maintenance Director, you will help keep our community safe, clean, well-maintained, and running smoothly.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Assist with routine and preventative building maintenance

  • Help maintain mechanical equipment, building systems, and grounds

  • Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC-related maintenance

  • Complete routine inspections and identify maintenance or safety concerns

  • Assist with maintenance work orders and follow up on repairs

  • Keep maintenance and storage areas clean, safe, and organized

  • Follow OSHA and company safety procedures

  • Assist with emergency maintenance needs when required

  • Support the Maintenance Director with additional projects as needed

Driver / Resident Transportation

You will also help our residents stay active and connected by providing safe, dependable transportation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Drive residents to medical appointments, outings, shopping, banking, and community activities

  • Provide friendly and professional service to residents

  • Assist residents when entering and exiting the vehicle

  • Help load and unload packages, bags, boxes, and other items

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable vehicle

  • Help coordinate scheduled community transportation

  • Follow all company vehicle and transportation safety requirements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, friendly, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Previous maintenance, facilities, property maintenance, handyman, or related experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems preferred

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Acceptable DMV driving record required

  • CDL required only if applicable to the vehicle being operated

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple responsibilities

  • Comfortable working with and assisting senior residents

  • Must meet applicable background screening requirements

  • Must comply with the company’s Drug-Free Workplace Policy
