JOB SUMMARY:Â The Production Operator III is responsible for performing manual duties to process and complete product by operating equipment to mix, form, and assemble metals and chemicals for distribution to Indium Corporation customers. Work is self-directed and performed independently.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):
- Observe all safety and security requirementsÂ
- Operate machines and other equipment for product processing, which may include any of the following: assembly, chemical additions, extrusion, or packaging functionsÂ
- May work with a variety of metals to create casts may also work with a variety of chemicals to fabricate final productsÂ
- Follow written procedures and work instructionsÂ
- Complete any required documentation to track work, record scrap, and maintain the accuracy of completed parts and required inventoryÂ
- Perform a variety of supply functions to stage, load, and remove materials no longer needed at the production station or to set up for future productionÂ
- Uphold the standards necessary to maintain our business certifications and to maintain good quality standards and practices associated with themÂ
- Sustain a steady work pace, adjust schedule as neededÂ
- Identify and perform rework and assign rework to othersÂ
- Help other operators make decisions when troubleshooting problemsÂ
- Mentor/lead other employeesÂ
- Read and interpret drawings and diagrams and instruct others of the sameÂ
- Produce quality product with minimal scrapÂ
- Attend training as needed or assignedÂ
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:Â
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); four years of verified work experience may be considered in lieu of education
- Subject matter expert that is deemed competent in at least three qualifying operations related to the position
- Specialized knowledge and the demonstrated ability to train others may be considered in lieu of length of work experience
- Demonstrated mentoring and leadership qualities
- Good oral and written communication skills; English proficiency desiredÂ
- Basic math skills and computer literacyÂ
- Basic organizational skillsÂ
- Provide own source of transportation for any local/day travel, including travel between Indium Corporation facilities

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.
The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, retirement plan, volunteer opportunities, paid holidays, overtime opportunities, and many more.
$17.50 per hour - $28.00 per hour
($35,360 - $58,240 annually)
