Cleaner EVS Spec Swing Shift - Full time, Public Area Housekeeping(Harrah's SoCal)

This position cleans and maintains all public areas in a manner which reflects the high standard of excellence of the Harrah’s Resort Southern California.

Responsibilities

•   Maintain assigned areas.
•   Able to provide information and directions to inquiring guests.
•   Complete all tasks as assigned by supervisor.
•   Clean and sweep paper and debris off the floor.
•   Clean and maintain slot machines and stands.
•   Clean walls, stalls, shelving, telephones, brass rails, doors, glass, mirrors, and any surface needing cleaning attention
•   Clean and maintain cleanliness of restrooms.
•   Clean and refresh ashtrays and ash urns
•   Restock with supplies (paper products) and chemicals work area (as needed)
•   Performs proper and trained cleaning procedures when blood borne pathogens are involved.
•   Vacuum, remove trash, and remove or transport items from one area to another as assigned.
•   Mopping floors
•   Must be able to operate vacuum cleaners or floor cleaning equipment (mop, broom etc.)
•   Meets the attendance guidelines and adheres to departmental and company policies.
•   Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

•   Prior Custodial or Housekeeping experience preferred.
•   Must be a least 21 years of age.
•   Must present a well-groomed appearance.
•   Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays. 
•   Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS    
•   Must be able to lift 50lbs or more.
•   Must be able to manage several tasks during shift.
•   Must be able to tolerate secondary smoke.
•   Must be able to work in temperatures more than 115 degrees and in cold temperatures as low as 40 degrees.  
•   Must be able to work around crowded inside and outside areas.
•   Able to stoop, bend, reach and pull around casino & restroom areas.
•   Able to tolerate cleaning chemicals without developing an allergic reaction. 

Pay: $19.50 an hour
