Position Summary

1st Shift: 7AM - 3PM

 

The Operator is responsible for safely operating multiple pieces of equipment on a liquid filling production line. This role supports production through equipment setup and changeovers, preventive maintenance, quality verification, accurate documentation, and participation in continuous improvement initiatives. The Operator plays a key role in ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and operational excellence. 


Responsibilities

  • Safely set up, operate, monitor, and change over liquid filling line equipment to meet production requirements. 

  • Understand and speak to production flow, processes, and performance metrics. 

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance (PMs) on assigned equipment. 

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and clearly communicate equipment issues to the Line Lead and/or Maintenance. 

  • Ensure that the production line is adequately supplied to meet established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). 

  • Conduct and document required quality checks using established measuring techniques and standards. 

  • Maintain work areas and tools in accordance with Visual Management and 5S standards, identifying and correcting abnormalities. 

  • Maintain accurate and complete production, quality, and safety records. 

  • Adhere to all safety requirements, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out (LOTO), pinch point awareness, and PPE usage. 

  • Follow written and visual instructions, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Work. 

  • Participate in safety, cost, quality, productivity, and Lean Manufacturing/continuous improvement initiatives. 

  • Assist in training and onboarding of other colleagues as assigned. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs. 


We we are looking for

  • High School Diploma or GED OR 0–2 years of manufacturing or mechanical experience. 

  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues. 

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including use of two‑way radios. 

  • Ability to follow, apply, and improve standard work procedures. 

  • Problem‑solving, decision‑making, and organizational skills. 

  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet critical deadlines. 

  • Basic computer skills for production reporting and machine monitoring. 

  • TPM/Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus. 

  • SAP experience is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs; push and pull up to 40 lbs. 

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. 

  • Frequent bending, reaching, stretching, twisting, climbing, pulling, pushing, and lifting. 

  • Ability to safely work around moving machinery and production equipment.

Total Rewards Package

The pay rate for this position is up to USD $20.60/Hr. per hour
