As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will support a government location by conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and responding professionally to situations as they arise. Pay Rate: $24.53 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government facility by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain required logs and reports in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public agencies as required.
• Maintain awareness of assigned areas and communicate observed hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to supervisors and/or designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
