This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. 

Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner. 

Job Description: This position is responsible forassisting the supervisor with product flow, process efficiency, product quality, and team member training. The role involves overseeing line production according to standards, including daily preparation, efficiency, yields, quality, supplies, paperwork, downtime, team members, line replacements, and stepping in to work on the line when necessary. Constant communication with the Supervisor is essential. The candidate must maintain and oversee all safety standards, USDA/QA standards, and ensure the product meets customer specifications. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Oversee line production to ensure adherence to standards. 

  • Manage daily preparation, efficiency, yields, quality, supplies, paperwork, downtime, and team members. 

  • Step in and work on the line as needed. 

  • Maintain constant communication with the Supervisor. 

  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and USDA/QA standards. 

  • Ensure products meet customer specifications. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Proficiency in reading and writing; ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels. 

  • Will be required to oversee any production line and or work in other departments as needed according to production requirements.    

  • Must be out of probation period. 

  • Attendance level requirements 4 points or less 

  • No written warning or suspension in the last 6 months. 

  • The selected candidate will be given a 2-week trial period.  

  • The selected candidate must maintain 4 points or less prior to transfer into the position.  

  • Must follow all Tyson safety policies. 

  • Must be in the current position for at least 6 months for a position that is not a promotion.  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. 

  • Must be able and willing to stand throughout shift with some walking. 

  • Must be able and willing to use hand to feel and handle product. 

  • Must be able and willing to communicate with team members and management. 

  • Must be able and willing to lift to 25 pounds. 

  • Must be able and willing to set up line if required.
