Machine Operator - 1st Shift

Tamarack Packaging is looking for a dependable and motivated Machine Operator to join our production team. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate.

Shift

• Monday-Friday
• 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• Two paid 10-minute breaks
• One 30-minute unpaid lunch
• Overtime opportunities available

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently
• Perform machine setups, changeovers, and adjustments
• Conduct quality inspections and verify product specifications
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic preventative maintenance
• Record production, scrap, downtime, and quality data
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety, quality, and environmental requirements
• Work with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to meet production goals
• Support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely
• Ability to stand and perform physical work throughout the shift
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety, quality, and attendance
