We're looking for a Diesel Mechanic Trainer who will be responsible for training customer and TransChicago technicians on Class 5-8 equipment, diagnostics, and safety. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, certified technician who’s passionate about teaching others and sharing their expertise in a hands-on, high-impact way.

Key Functions & Responsibilities:

Conduct training courses for both TransChicago technicians and technicians from other Freightliner dealers and TransChicago customers.
Partner with Service Managers and customers to understand training needs and align programs with business goals.
Organize, develop, or source training programs to improve course content to meet evolving technical standards.
Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, and on-the-job coaching.
Provide constructive feedback and evaluations for participants and management.
Attend continuing education courses to learn about new products and repair/diagnostic techniques.
Represent TransChicago at industry events and career fairs.
Maintain in-house training facilities and equipment as needed.

Education and/or Required Experience:

High school diploma or GED required.
Expert Certification on Freightliner, M2, Detroit required.
ASE Master Certification preferred.
1 year of related or industry experience required. 
5 years of Dealership experience preferred.
2 years as a trainer with presentation of curriculum in a classroom setting preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation: $70,000-$95,000. Compensation will be determined based on experience, competencies, certifications, and education.
