The Associate Business Process Improvement Analyst will support manufacturing and business process improvement initiatives focused on increasing operational efficiency, productivity, process flow, and overall performance within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, perform, and implement process improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Perform time studies and line-balancing analyses to identify opportunities to improve productivity, capacity, and manufacturing flow.
- Analyze and document existing manufacturing and business processes.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and flow acceleration initiatives.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing layouts to improve workflow, material movement, personnel flow, and ergonomics.
- Perform Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify waste, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Collect and analyze operational data to identify root causes of process performance issues.
- Develop metrics and performance indicators to measure process effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
- Measure performance against established process requirements and address performance gaps.
- Support cross-functional teams in the implementation of process improvement projects.
- Perform cost-benefit analyses for proposed process changes and improvement initiatives.
- Research and evaluate best practices, techniques, and processes.
- Prepare and communicate project progress, findings, recommendations, and results to internal stakeholders.
- Support presentations and training related to process measurement, analysis, improvement, and control.
- Ensure process improvement activities align with applicable procedures and requirements within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering.
- Must be willing and able to work 100% on-site in Villalba, Puerto Rico.​
- Knowledge and/or hands-on experience performing time studies and line balancing.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or exposure within regulated industries, preferably medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience developing process metrics and performance indicators.
- Experience with manufacturing capacity, productivity, workflow, and layout improvement projects.
- Internship, co-op, academic project, or professional experience involving Industrial Engineering and continuous improvement activities is highly desirable.
