Packaging Team Lead – Industrial Bakery Manufacturing

Location: Vineland NJ Plant 
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Starting Pay: $29.80 per hour

Position Summary

Bridor is seeking a Packaging Team Lead to support our high-volume industrial bakery manufacturing operation in Vineland.

This position coordinates the daily operation of bread-packaging lines, supports packaging employees, monitors food-safety and quality requirements, and helps ensure production goals are achieved safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on, plant-floor leadership position. It is not a warehouse, office, or general labor role.

Schedule Options

This position works three 12-hour shifts per week on a fixed day or night schedule. Available schedules may include:

  • Monday–Wednesday
  • Thursday–Saturday
  • Tuesday–Thursday

Candidates must be able to work the full assigned 12-hour day or night shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate packaging-line start-ups, product changes, and daily production activities.
  • Set up and adjust packaging equipment before production begins.
  • Keep packaging lines operating efficiently while minimizing downtime and product loss.
  • Ensure Critical Control Points are monitored according to required procedures.
  • Follow and reinforce food-safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, and BRC requirements.
  • Immediately report food-safety, quality, production, or process deviations.
  • Confirm adequate staffing at line start-up and throughout production.
  • Help train new employees on their assigned responsibilities.
  • Ensure packaging materials, components, and supplies remain available.
  • Identify operational or mechanical issues and communicate them to Production and Maintenance.
  • Complete daily production reports and required documentation.
  • Follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures during equipment stoppages.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Perform other responsibilities related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two to five years of experience in a manufacturing or factory environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and read written instructions in English.
  • Understanding of manufacturing safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Ability to complete accurate production records.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Ability to work an assigned fixed 12-hour day or night schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an industrial bakery or food-manufacturing environment.
  • Previous team lead, line lead, or production coordination experience.
  • Basic knowledge of bakery production.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, BRC, and food-safety requirements.
  • Experience setting up, monitoring, or adjusting packaging equipment.

Work Environment

This position requires working:

  • On the production floor in an open manufacturing environment.
  • Around flour and bakery ingredients.
  • In cold and noisy areas.
  • On your feet while performing repetitive and precision-based tasks.
  • On an assigned fixed day or night schedule.
