Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Project Manager - Industrial to support the successful planning, execution, and delivery of industrial construction projects. This role works closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with quality standards.

Pay: $70,000 - $ 90,000

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Required Qualifications 
 

Required Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in project coordination, construction, project management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software such as Microsoft Project.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to project success.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting industrial construction, utility, energy, manufacturing, or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with project controls, cost tracking, and contract administration.


Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Communication

  • Support Project Managers in coordinating internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Organize project meetings, prepare agendas, document meeting minutes, and track action items.
  • Prepare weekly project status reports and maintain project documentation.
  • Monitor project issues and assist with timely resolution and follow-up.

Project Planning & Execution

  • Assist in developing project execution plans and supporting project documentation.
  • Coordinate activities among estimating, engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
  • Support subcontract administration and project startup activities.
  • Identify project risks and assist in implementing mitigation strategies.

Cost & Budget Management

  • Assist with budget tracking, cost reporting, and project forecasting.
  • Maintain committed cost logs and change order documentation.
  • Coordinate with accounting to ensure accurate billing, reporting, and financial tracking.

Schedule Management

  • Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules.
  • Monitor key milestones, procurement lead times, and construction progress.
  • Support weekly schedule review meetings with project teams and clients.

Procurement Support

  • Assist with procurement activities for major equipment and subcontracted services.
  • Track equipment orders, vendor commitments, and delivery schedules.
  • Follow up with vendors regarding long-lead items and potential delivery risks.

Safety & Compliance

  • Support company safety initiatives and documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate subcontractor compliance records and related documentation.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement

  • Document lessons learned and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and market trends.
