Are you an experienced classroom teacher who’s ready for more responsibility, more impact, and the opportunity to lead? The Director in Training (DIT) Leadership Program at New Creations Child Care & Learning Center is designed to help passionate educators take the next step toward a rewarding leadership career. This is more than a training program, it’s your path to becoming a Site Director. You’ll receive hands-on experience, individualized mentorship, professional development, and the opportunity to learn the business of child care from experienced leaders. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: The DIT Leadership Program provides hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development to prepare you for leadership opportunities within our company.  Classroom Leadership – Support curriculum implementation, classroom quality, and licensing compliance. Team Leadership & Mentorship – Coach, encourage, and develop teachers and staff. Family Experience – Build strong relationships with families through exceptional communication and our Red Carpet Service philosophy. Center Operations – Learn scheduling, staffing, payroll, tuition, enrollment, and administrative processes. Hiring & Team Development – Gain experience with onboarding, staff development, and building strong teams. Enrollment & Retention – Learn how successful centers grow and build lasting relationships with families. Licensing & Compliance – Develop a strong understanding of DCYF requirements and New Creations policies and procedures. As a Director-in-Training, you’ll begin with hands-on training under the guidance of the Operations Manager and experienced Site Directors. As you progress through your training plan, you’ll take on increasing responsibility and work alongside leadership to learn what it takes to successfully operate a center. DIT training will last 6-8 weeks with hands on training with the goal of being placed as a Site Director in one of our locations.  Your experience may include: Creating and implementing staff and student schedules Supporting curriculum planning and implementation Ensuring classrooms meet licensing requirements and maintaining compliance Assisting with staffing patterns and labor goals Conducting tours for prospective families Supporting enrollment growth and family retention Maintaining student and staff files Assisting with payroll, tuition, and administrative responsibilities Supporting hiring, onboarding, and staff development Coaching and motivating teachers and staff Helping create a positive, enthusiastic culture where children and educators can thrive Most importantly, you’ll be expected to lead by example supporting our team, modeling our values, and embracing a lifelong-learning mindset. Official transcripts of all post-secondary work required. • Two to three years of experience as a Lead Teacher or two to three years of leadership experience in another career field preferred. • State DHS background check and fingerprints shall determine that the applicant has not been “convicted of a felony... has no criminal record that the commissioner reasonably believes renders the person unsuitable to be employed in a child care center.” • Certification in Adult and Pediatric First Aid & CPR completed within 30 days of employment. • All DCYF training will be completed on day 1 during orientation  PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS With or without reasonable accommodation this position requires: • Ability to travel on an ongoing basis. • Extensive standing and walking; sitting on the floor and on low (12”) chairs. • Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling. • Lifting and carrying children extensively in the infant/toddler program; less frequently in the preschool program, but the children are heavier. • Frequent moving of equipment (cots, tables, etc.). • Pushing children in buggies, strollers, and walking for considerable periods. • The necessity of being outdoors in varying weather conditions. • Exposure to unpleasant odors and fluids caused by vomit (occasional) and bodily elimination. • Relatively frequent exposure to loud noises (baby crying, toys falling and other common occurrences of children at play).
