Job Description:Â
Â
Prevent quality issue in advance and maximize output (yield, OEE) through the establishment of inspection system, management of inspection equipment maintenance, improvement of inspection equipment performance, and the introduction of new equipment.Â
Â
Primary Responsibilities:Â
- Compliance with health/safety/environmental/fire regulationsÂ
- In case of emergency or danger, immediately stop work (e.g., in case of safety accidents such as worker
   injury (stenosis, cut, etc.)Â
- Report singularity to Part Leader / Team LeaderÂ
- Report accidents and risk factors to Part Leader / Team LeaderÂ
- Â Implement safety improvementsÂ
- Inspection machine PM management (inspection machine maintenance/performance management)Â
- PM Planning (work content, period, personnel input, time required)Â
- Technician PM work order and result checkÂ
- Optimization of preventive maintenance items for inspection machine maintenance (PM Activity)Â
- Establishment of inspection machine spare parts management systemÂ
- Calibration to maintain inspection machine performance, management of MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis)Â
- Inspector equipment improvement activitiesÂ
- Analyze and quantify equipment failure items (MTTR, MTBF)Â
- Analyze the cause of equipment failure and derive improvement itemsÂ
- Review/derive and implement the predictive maintenance plan for the advancement of inspection equipmentÂ
- Prevention of recurrence through failure analysis report creation, education/dissemination, and improvement for BMÂ
- Â Request and implement improvement on equipment makers for chronic problemsÂ
- Improving/managing inspection machine accuracy and detection powerÂ
- Monitoring inspection machine accuracy and detection powerÂ
- Derivation/analysis of major factors for major inspection itemsÂ
- For process-borne issues, feedback to the production and equipment departmentsÂ
- For issues attributable to the inspection machine, improvement plans are derived and inspection conditions are optimized.Â
- Continuous monitoring of the results of the measuresÂ
- Establishment of inspection information management system

- Investment review and investment cost capex execution approval based on the investment process.Â
- Inspection information management system development schedule managementÂ
- Reviewing compliance with system ordering specifications and monitoring data I/F stabilizationÂ
- System mass production transfer (to production department) and reporting (to supervisor)Â
- Expansion of equipment and dissemination/application of new technologies for inspectionÂ
-  Investment review and investment cost capex execution approval based on the investment process.Â
- Inspection machine set up schedule managementÂ
- Verification of facility production capacity and stabilization of operation quality in accordance with SAT standards and facility order specificationsÂ
- After completing the inspection machine set up, mass production is transferred and inspection report is carried outÂ
- Review/plan of Inspection machine Model development and Model changeÂ
- Review of Model development (investment, schedule)Â
- Investment review and investment cost capex execution approval based on the Model development processÂ
- Inspection machine H/W production and inspection recipe development schedule managementÂ
- Model change recipe status managementÂ
- Developing Technician skill improvement plan and implementingÂ
- Develop and run training courses to improve technician skillsÂ
- Technician skill matrix managementÂ
- Establishment and management of inspection machine standards (design, installation, operation)Â
- Establishment and revision of inspection machine specifications and design standardsÂ
- Establishment and revision of inspection machine IPÂ
- Establishment and revision of PFD, BM/PM/PD Manual (BM/PD Measures Guide) *PFD: Process Flow DiagramÂ
- Analyze the cause and check the action history for BM/PD issuesÂ
- Enactment/revision of PFD and BM/PD manual on BM/PD issuesÂ
- Production team sharing of BM/PM/PD Manual (EKMS, B-Lex registration) and inspection technician trainingÂ
- Developing CompetencyÂ
-  Participate in LBA (LG Energy Solution Battery Academy)Â
- Participate in business exchanges for each siteÂ
- Participate in online training (GMES platform, B-Lex case, etc.)  * GMES : Global Manufacturing Execution SystemÂ
- Participate in mentoring program with new engineersÂ

Education:Â
- Bachelor's Degree required in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or similar requiredÂ
Skills:Â
- 0 to 3 Years Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering preferredÂ
- Machine Vision Engineering in a manufacturing or automotive engineering environment through an internship, co-op, entry level job role, or similar is preferred Â
- Driven by objectives/KPI’s; consistent; and high personal ownership to upholding accountability to established standards and practicesÂ
- Ability to use Logical thinking and decision making by focusing on identifying root cause objectively using data, analyzing production results, and following proven problem-solving methodsÂ
- Knowledge of Mechanical/technical curiosity and mindsetÂ
- Commitment and desire to learn our complex battery manufacturing processes with the goal of becoming a go-to resource for technical problem-solving discussionsÂ
- Effective communication and presentation skillsÂ

Annual refresher training will be completed every year after to fulfill the requirements of 40 CFR. Other training to be provided as required.
