Job description: Business Operations Analyst
Constellation is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC. The Analyst will evaluate the processes, people, and technology for our clients’ operations. They will work independently or as part of a contractor team, will evaluate and solve the agency’s business challenges, specifically in support of the Department of Homeland Security’s law enforcement mission by collecting, reviewing, and analyzing information. The will utilize various communication strategies to prepare reports, summarize findings and present analysis to clients.Â
The Business Operations Analyst will:Â
- Develop analytical methods and tools to evaluate and integrate data from various sources to assess and recommend solutions to assigned problems.  Â
- Use tools like Power BI, Tableau or other visualization software to synthesize the information and assist senior executives in making decisions. Â
- Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of strategic initiatives. Â
- Prepare and present reports on progress, performance, and outcomes to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Use performance data to inform strategic adjustments and continuous improvement efforts.Â
- Facilitate sessions with stakeholders to understand and enhance business processes, producing documentation of process requirements and details.Â
- Deliver schedule management and milestone tracking for various customer projects utilizing strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Â
- Apply oral and written communication expertise to develop project deliverables, including analysis plans, written reports, briefing slides, and discussions with clients and stakeholders.Â
- Support studies and meetings; document and compile notes; analyze data; develop guides, standard operating procedures, trackers, and publications, one pager, facts sheets, etc.Â
- Support program leadership with meeting coordination, agenda development, and documentation as needed.
- Maintain program trackers, shared communications, and organizational requests.
- Support operational data management and property tracking in accordance with agency policies.
The ideal candidate must have the following experience, background, and credentials:Â
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resource Management, or a related field. Â
- Minimum of 2 years’ of experience developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Minimum of 4 years proven experience as a government consultant or support contractor collecting, analyzing, preparing, and presenting data to senior government leadership.Â
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and for our client understanding their needs and work in a face paced dynamic environment Â
- Be a U.S. citizen able to pass a background investigation by the client agency. DHS clearance with CBP/ICE, or DoD Top-Secret preferred.Â
