Food Service Coordinator

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

About the Role
Stokes School is seeking a dependable, organized, and team-oriented Food Service Coordinator to support our school meal program. This position helps ensure students receive healthy, nutritious meals in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the cafeteria and food service areas for daily meal service.
- Serve breakfast and lunch efficiently and courteously.
- Prepare and set up snacks and food for after-school programming.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and cafeteria.
- Accurately complete meal counts, production records, and required data entry.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the Chef Manager, kitchen team, and other school staff.
- Assist with other food service and school operational needs as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Food safety/hygiene certification required.
- Culinary training or equivalent professional kitchen experience preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a school or educational setting.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, stand for extended periods, and lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, professionalism, and teamwork.
