The Museum is going through transformational change as an institution and Human Resources is an essential partner in identifying, developing and implementing new strategies, policies and processes to support strategic plans and our people, the foundation of our work and future success.
Human Resources is seeking to hire a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Administrator to bolster HR’s ability to support and maintain the institution’s HRIS to ensure efficient and effective HR Operations.
The HRIS Administrator will serve as the first point of contact for HRIS-related issues, implementing system improvements and system upgrades, ensuring data integrity and security, generating recurring and ad hoc reports for HR team members and senior leadership, and providing technical support to end-users.
The position is located in Washington, DC. This is a full-time, donated (non-federal), position paid with the Museum’s private funds. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Duties and Responsibilities for the role:

Administers the day-to-day operations of the Museum’s HRIS, ensuring that the system is configured and utilized effectively across all HR functions, including payroll, benefits, timekeeping, recruitment, compensation, onboarding, performance management, learning management, and compliance.

Serves as a representative and liaison between HR, IT, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.

Continuously assesses, recommends, and implements HRIS features and functionality
optimizations to meet the evolving needs of the HR department and the Museum, including system improvements and upgrades, with the approval of the Chief Human Resources Officer.

Ensures HRIS data is accurately maintained, audited, updated, and complies with data security and privacy standards.

Maintains and manages permissions, access, and similar system operations and settings for HR staff and Museum system users.

Identifies opportunities for automation within all respects of HR processes and provides
recommendations to the Chief Human Resources Officer.

Generates reports and analyzes data to support decision-making, compliance, and performance metrics.

Provides training to HR staff and other HR system Museum users on the functionality and capabilities of the HRIS, ensuring users are fully equipped to utilize the system effectively.

Serves as the first point of contact for resolving system-related issues and troubleshooting.

Contributes to special projects.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications for the role:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience.

3+ years of experience administering HRIS platforms with a minimum of 1 year of experience with Dayforce.

In-depth knowledge of HR processes, including payroll, benefits, timekeeping, compliance, learning management and performance management.

Strong technical proficiency in HRIS management, including system configuration, reporting, and troubleshooting.

Experience in system integration and data migration, particularly in the context of HR systems.

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to train and support HR team members and other system users.

Demonstrates strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities; work under pressure with tight deadlines; and manage multiple projects at once.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Demonstrated experience with general office productivity tools (i.e., Google, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications for the role:

Dayforce Administrator experience.
-
HRIS certification.
-
HR Analytics certification.
