Description

Quantum Sky is searching for a full-time Intermediate AV/VTC Specialist to support the EEOC OCIO Enterprise Helpdesk. This role supports AV/VTC operations, troubleshooting, service requests, event support, collaboration platforms, and maintenance activities across EEOC. 

 

The Intermediate AV/VTC Specialist will support meetings, conferences, executive communications, live and virtual events, and field-office AV/VTC needs in coordination with senior AV/VTC personnel, Production Engineer, Event Coordinator/Project Manager, and EEOC stakeholders. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support operation, maintenance, integration, and troubleshooting of audiovisual, video conferencing, and multimedia production systems. 
  • Provide on-site support, ad hoc services, travel support, training support, remote support, and/or evaluation of field office AV/VTC requirements as needed and approved. 
  • Support AV and VTC events including meetings and conferences requiring AV/VTC hardware, public address systems, live/recorded/VTC video display, computer display, and open/closed caption support. 
  • Configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot AV equipment and multimedia production technologies, including camera operations, audio mixing, DSP, control systems, projection systems, and LED display technologies as assigned. 
  • Support Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Poly RealPresence, video webinars, breakout rooms, and other collaboration technologies identified by the PWS. 
  • Schedule and manage virtual meeting support activities, coordinate connections between multiple locations, monitor audio/video performance, and resolve connectivity, interoperability, and user support issues. 
  • Receive, document, track, and resolve AV/VTC service requests and trouble tickets submitted by EEOC personnel for AV/VTC systems at any EEOC location. 
  • Support setup, execution, and post-event activities for live and virtual events including town halls, executive meetings, training sessions, webcasts, and conferences. 
  • Operate or support production equipment, live video switching, audio mixing, recording, streaming, and production delivery throughout the event lifecycle as assigned. 
  • Support preventive and corrective maintenance for AV/VTC systems, including routine inspections, troubleshooting, upgrades, firmware updates, lifecycle management, and maintenance documentation. 
  • Support AV/VTC design, implementation, integration, sustainment, system documentation, signal flow diagrams, AV-over-IP support, and recommendations for reliability or scalability improvements as assigned. 
  • Escalate unresolved AV/VTC issues in accordance with formal escalation procedures when an issue cannot be resolved within 24 hours of the initial service request. 
  • Contribute to achieving the AV/VTC AQL: resolve at least 90% of incoming AV/VTC service requests and onsite support tickets without escalation, with no more than 10% escalated to EEOC AV/VTC management. 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 
  • Intermediate-level AV/VTC Specialist with a minimum of six (6) years of experience supporting an environment similar to EEOC’s. 
  • Experience supporting AV/VTC equipment, conference room technologies, collaboration platforms, and enterprise AV/VTC service requests. 
  • Ability to support Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Poly RealPresence, webinars, breakout rooms, and multi-location AV/VTC coordination. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot audio, video, connectivity, interoperability, user support, codec, AV hardware, and collaboration technology issues. 
  • Ability to support live, virtual, and hybrid meetings and events. 
  • Acceptable command of the English language and ability to pass COR resume review. 
  • No source-specific degree or certification requirement is provided for the Intermediate AV/VTC Specialist in the source package. 

Clearance: 

  • Must currently possess or be able to favorably pass a full-field five-year employment background investigation prior to performing work under the contract. 
  • Must have at least a Background Investigation (BI). The PWS states the process normally requires a completed SF-85P, “Questionnaire for Public Trust Positions,” and references OPM suitability standards. 

Location:

  • Primary on-site work location is EEOC Headquarters, 131 M Street NE, Washington, DC 20507. Each Work Order will specify the work location. 
  • On-site work is generally performed between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays and Federal Government closures, unless otherwise requested by the COR. 
  • Limited travel may be required during the period of performance if approved by the COR. On-site and off-site support resources must be located within the United States. 
  • Ad hoc telework may be permitted as part of on-site services if approved by the COR; telework schedules require mutual agreement and formal incorporation under the contract or bilateral modification.

  • Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically between 70-90K. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
