*This position is contingent upon a future opening with Gunnison.
*This will be a short-term 6-month position.
Salary: $85,000 - $105,000/year
Work Location: On-site 5 days per week, Washington, DC.
- Execute operational cybersecurity functions.
- Triage and analyze security alerts.
- Support continuous monitoring activities.
- Coordinate incident response actions.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Maintain compliance and support threat detection workflows.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in in SOC operations and incident response.
- Hands-on experience analyzing security alerts and supporting threat detection workflows.
- Strong knowledge of the NIST RMF and evaluating system configurations.
- Security+, CySA+, or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Incident Response certification (e.g., GCIH) or Cloud Security certification.
- Specialized training in digital forensics or incident response.
The salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements.
