Job DetailsJob Location: Washington, DC 20002Salary Range: $22.00 - $33.50 HourlySUMMARY This position is primarily responsible for ensuring that the employee’s assigned building's lighting and plumbing systems are maintained to manufacturer's specifications as well as the organization’s maintenance standards by performing the following duties.   BENEFITS: Medical, dental, and vision insurance for the employee at no cost to the employee Additional medical plan options available at a small monthly cost Employee responsible for monthly premiums for additional dependents Health Savings Account (HSA) available depending on medical plan selection. Other duties may be assigned. Maintains assigned building’s lighting and plumbing systems, assuring that equipment is maintained in an energy efficient and safe manner. Complies with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognizes danger and safety hazards and proposes methods to eliminate and maintains a working knowledge of common hand tools used for routine maintenance and repair of above mentioned systems. Communicates findings in the performance of assigned work with supervisors and fellow employees and documents maintenance and repairs made to the above mentioned systems. Maintains working knowledge of lock out/tag out equipment. Responds to tenant and client requests in a professional manner. Issues unable to be resolved are reported immediately to a supervisor. Responds effectively and promptly to all emergencies. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.   QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High school diploma; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to develop basic addition and subtraction. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: tablets, smart phones, and software associated with work order and maintenance programs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
